The Children of Little Stars Day Nursery & Little Stars Nursery School
 

• Give joy and happiness to the residents of Gretton Court;
• Enthusiastically participate in the inter generational play project at Gretton Court
• Use their weekly sessions of physical activity and play to foster positive relationships with the residents of Gretton Court.

 

The children went to the award ceremony and had afternoon tea with the Mayor! It was so special to receive this.  Laura copied a certificate for all the children to treasure and keep.
We have ran our Intergenerational play sessions since 2017 and the recognition was very special, however the benefits for the children's development and for the residents is the greatest award of all.

Due to Covid-19 we have had to stop our weekly Visits since March 2020. We are hopeful when life resumes normality we can begin to attend again.

Little Stars in January 2020 was Awarded Runner Up Nursery of the Year East Midlands. What an achievement for our Nursery based in Melton Mowbray! We were invited to an award ceremony and have loved the recognition for the hard work, passion and determination to make an award winning Nursery Group for the families of the Melton Borough!

We are so proud to hold the 5* rating for Food and Hygiene in both our settings.  We are committed to all staff holding Food and Hygiene qualifications at Little Stars and all staff undertake specific Online Food Allergy Awareness training.

Little Stars Day Nursery outsources their Hot Meal to Wild Fig Catering based at Pera Business Park, Melton Mowbray.  We are passionate that children should have high quality catering.  Wild Fig caters for all Allergy and Dietary requirements and delivers the meals all year!

Little Stars Nursery School has hot meals catered by St Francis Primary School.  These meals are prepared inline with the Leicestershire Schools Food Trust and caters for allergy and dietary requirements also.

We are proud to support local businesses and have fresh fruit and vegetables delivered weekly offering children a variety of tastes!
All of our other food for Breakfast, Snacks and Tea are sourced from Tesco. We pay for these to be delivered weekly too!
